2. How to Apply It
2.1 The Standard Dosage
The waste water is at Level 1.
1 Litre / 500-1,000 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 2.
1 Litre / 300-500 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 3.
1 Litre / 100-300 cubic metres
Note: 1 cubic metre = 1,000 litres
Level 1 – Household waste water.
Level 3 – Putrid and foul-smelling waste water.
2.2 How to Increase the Beneficial Effects
There is a special way to increase the growth rate of the micro-organisms and to increase the beneficial effects of the micro-organisms on the waste water. It requires a little extra work, but it is worth it. The 2 booster mixtures are described to customers.
2.3 Ideal Dosage for the Best Effects
The waste water is at Level 1.
Add Booster 2 (made from Booster 1) = 200 litres.
Use Bio-Utility: 1 Litre / 500-1,000 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 2.
Add Booster 2 (made from Booster 1) = 200 litres.
Use Bio-Utility: 1 Litre / 300-500 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 3.
Add Booster 2 (made from Booster 1) = 200 litres.
Use Bio-Utility: 1 Litre / 100-300 cubic metres
Note: 1 cubic metre = 1,000 litres
Level 1 – Household waste water.
Level 3 – Putrid and foul-smelling waste water.
2.4 Spray It Over the Water
Add the mixture to the pond by spraying it over the surface. The aerators will spread it around the pond. Apply it once every 2 weeks.
2.5 Using Multiple Ponds
Because waste water is continually pouring into the main treatment pond, ideally the wastewater should be moved to another pond every 30-35 days, where the treatment can continue. Continue to add the mixture to the pond by spraying it over the surface. The frequency can be changed, if the smell has gone.
3. Oxygenating the Waste Water
3.1 Poorly Oxygenated Pond
3.2 Use Aerators As Well
Set up moving paddle aerators that move down each side of the pond to create water circulation and movement, and to oxygenate the waste water. The aerators also stir up sludge so that it floats up. This gives Bio-Plant’s micro-organisms the opportunity to break down the sludge. This will speed up the recovery process.
3.3 Increase the Oxygen Content
This introduction of increased Oxygen levels creates two positive effects.
Increased levels of Oxygen in the water cause the decomposition of organic matter to occur faster, thus limiting the amount of nutrients available, and creating clearer water.
Increased amounts of Oxygen also remove other gases like Carbon Dioxide and Ammonia.

3.6 Lagoon Paddle Aerator Action
3.7 Use Aerators As Well
Increase the amount of oxygen being supplied to the water by installing underwater diffusers. If the condition is very serious, then you should start the recovery process with some limestone.

3.9 Underwater Aeration Diffuser
3.10 Micro-pore Aeration

4. Example: Treating a Municipal’s Waste Water
4.1 The Situation
A water pond full of municipal waste water with a size of 120 meters x 85 metres x 2 metres = 20,400 cubic metres of water.
4.2 How Can You Treat the Pond?
Ideally, spray the Bio-Utility mixture over the pond so that it spreads out over the pond.
If you cannot spray the mixture, pour the Bio-Utility into the waste water as it flows into the pond.
4.3 Dosage of Bio-Utility
1 litre per 500 cubic metres, if the condition of the water has an ordinary level of smell as opposed to a putrid smell. In this case, use 1 litre per 100 litres of waste water and apply this every 2 weeks. It takes 30-35 days to clean the waste water properly. The municipal can release the water before then, but 30-35 days is the ideal and normal length of time.
4.4 Reducing the Treatment Time
If the municipal aerates the lagoon with aeration machines, this period of time can be reduced, probably to 21 days. If the municipal wants to release the water in a shorter period
of time, then it should analyse the water after 7, 10, 14 days to see if the cleanliness is at a
level allowed by law or at a level, which it feels satisfied with.
4.5 Normal Guidelines
For normal conditions when the waste water is not smelly, mix 1 litre of Bio-Plant with every 500 cubic metres of water every 2 weeks. If the condition of the water is very bad, mix 1 litre of Bio-Plant with every 100 cubic metres of water and apply it every 2 weeks.
Once the smell has gone and the condition of the pond is good, maintain it with 1 litre of Bio-Plant with every 500 cubic metres of water every 2 weeks.
4.6 Standard Dosage
The waste water is at Level 1.
1 Litre / 500-1,000 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 2.
1 Litre / 300-500 cubic metres
The waste water is at Level 3.
1 Litre / 100-300 cubic metres
Note: 1 cubic metre = 1,000 litres
Level 1 – Household waste water.
Level 3 – Putrid and foul-smelling waste water.
4.7 How to Increase the Beneficial Effects

4.9 Spray It Over the Water
Add the mixture to the pond by spraying it over the surface. The aerators will spread it around the pond. Apply it once every 2 weeks.
