1. Benefits of Bio-Plant and Pro-Plant on Crops in Vietnam<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  1. 1.\u00a0 Introduction<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>
    Many farmers in Thailand and Vietnam have been using Bio-Plant and Pro-Plant or one of their other brand names for about 20 years, and we do not keep a record of their results. However, the orders increase continuously because of the beneficial effects, and the government of Vietnam buys a large amount each year as part of its efforts to phase out chemical agriculture.<\/h5>
    The Field Tests files at the Field Test Results<\/strong><\/span><\/a> page shows the results of some of the many field tests carried out over the last few years in Mauritius, Thailand, Vietnam, Benin, Cameroon, Nigeria, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, China, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. These are just to give you an idea of the general savings and crop yield benefits, which result from using the bio-fertilizers.<\/h5><\/li>
  2. 2.\u00a0 General Comments<\/span><\/strong><\/h5><\/li>
  3. 2.1\u00a0 Bio-chemical Farming<\/strong><\/h5>
    In bio-chemical farming as a general rule, by mixing 330 cc of Bio-Plant with each 50 kgs bag of chemical fertilizer in bio-chemical farming farmers can reduce by 50% the amount of chemical fertilizer they use straight away while increasing their yield by about 10% to begin with. This rises to 30%+ as the soil\u2019s fertility is restored. The farmer\u2019s costs are reduced usually by 40%-45%.<\/h5>
    If the farmer also sprays Pro-Plant on the leaves to provide a full range of nutrients, the overall costs are reduced by about 30% on average.<\/h5>
    If the farmer also prepares the seeds and soil with Bio-Plant, this will increase the crop yield further.<\/h5>
    In Year 2 and Year 3 farmers can reduce the amount of chemical fertilizer in each year by another 25% until they are farming 100% organically with a higher yield than when they were farming with chemicals, and of course, with much lower costs. We suggest this rate of change because even hardened chemical farmers can accept it.<\/h5>
    The drop in costs depends on the cost of chemical fertilizer in the country, of course.<\/h5><\/li><\/ol>
    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a02.2\u00a0 In 100% Organic Farming<\/strong><\/h5>
    • In 100% organic farming the yield increase varies so much with yields even doubling, but an increase of about 30% is most common to begin with. The yield increases each year as the soil is restored to fertility and the bio-fertilizers clean the soil of the unabsorbed chemical NPK deposits left by chemical fertilizers.<\/h5>
      The costs are much lower. Sometimes we meet farmers who have told us that they are making a good profit for the first time as their costs have dropped 60% \u2013 75% since they have stopped using chemical fertilizer.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
      1. General Benefits of Bio-Plant<\/strong><\/h5>
        Bio-Plant restores soil fertility, and makes hard chemical fertilizer soil crumbly and rich again. This is because Bio-Plant contains a high concentration of quickly multiplying soil micro-organisms and fungi.<\/h5>
        The micro-organisms produce NPK for plants and stimulate plant growth.<\/h5>
        The micro-organisms make the NPK soil deposits left by chemical fertilizer absorbable by the roots.<\/h5>
        It improves root system development.<\/h5>
        When used with Pro-Plant it increases the fragrance of flowers and sweetness of fruit, rice, and other grains.<\/h5>
        When mixed with chemical fertilizer, it halves the amount of chemical fertilizer farmers need.<\/h5>
        Bio-Plant makes rich bio-compost when mixed with organic matter.<\/h5>
        It strengthens the plant\u2019s immune system and resistance to disease and pests.<\/h5>
        It breaks the life cycle of soil pests.<\/h5><\/li>
      2. General Benefits of Pro-Plant<\/strong><\/h5>
        Pro-Plant increases the quality and quantity of the crop yield, and thereby increases income.<\/h5>
        Pro-Plant accelerates growth, flowering, and the formation of grain, fruit, etc. The nutrients are useable instantly by the leaves, especially when sprayed in a fine mist onto the leaves before 9 a.m.<\/h5>
        Pro-Plant makes plants much healthier, and more resistant to diseases and pests.<\/h5>
        Increases the fragrance of flowers, the sweetness of fruit and sugarcane, the crispiness of vegetables, and flavour.<\/h5>
        It increases the absorption rate of nutrients.<\/h5>
        Pro-Plant stimulates the respiratory and photosynthesis systems, so that the plant can absorb nutrients as needed.\u00a0It also supplements carbon dioxide fixing and\u00a0helps to improve the soil structure.<\/h5><\/li>
      3. Effects on Bananas, Mangoes, Pineapple, and Sugarcane
        <\/strong>Bio-Plant and Pro-Plant have been used in Thailand, especially Vietnam, over 20+ years. The following are the benefits, which farmers receive when growing bananas, mangoes, pineapple, and sugarcane.<\/h5><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

        \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03.1\u00a0 Bananas<\/strong><\/h5>
        • The weight of bananas per tree is higher. Normally, the farmers spray Pro-Plant every month, but they say that the effects are better if they spray Pro-Plant twice or even three times per month.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The bananas are sweeter than bananas grown with chemical fertilizer.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The bananas look more attractive to buy and eat as the skin is shinier.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The bananas do not have black spots on them.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The bananas keep longer after picking.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The farmers can sell the banana leaves for wrapping food because the leaves have more cutin and look fresher and shinier.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The problems with disease disappear. In the first season the farmers can halve the amount of sprays they use, and in the second crop (second year) they can stop spraying chemical sprays altogether.<\/h5><\/li>
        • The cost of growing the bananas drops significantly. As in the case of pineapple, in bio-chemical farming the farmers can halve the amount of chemical fertilizer they use, and if they also prepare the soil with organic matter mixed with Bio-Plant, and spray Pro-Plant over the banana trees every month (or every 10-14 days for better effects), they will get a noticeable increase in yield.<\/h5><\/li>
        • Some banana farmers in Thailand stress the importance and benefit of preparing a lot of compost mixed with Bio-Plant and placing this around the banana trees. In the first year they said they took the recommendation of making up to 20 MT of compost and organic matter for each hectare, and they reaped the benefits of doing this. In the second year they could reduce the amount of organic matter they use as the soil had become rich in micro-organisms.<\/h5><\/li>
        • After 3 years they could sell the bananas as \u201c100% Organic Bananas\u201d.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
          \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03.2\u00a0 Mangoes<\/strong><\/h5>
          • The main difference is the taste. The mangoes are very sweet and the mango flavour is much stronger than with chemical mangoes.<\/h5><\/li>
          • Another characteristic is the number of flowers on the tree in the flowering season. The trees are covered with flowers during the flowering season, more than the other mango trees, which do use fertilizer or which use chemicals. Pro-Plant causes fewer flowers to drop and the trees have more mangoes as a result.<\/h5><\/li>
          • Trees rarely have a problem with disease. The reason is that the immune system of the trees becomes stronger and stronger. Farmers place Bio-Plant in organic matter around the trees every month, and spray Pro-Plant on the leaves, flowers, and fruit so that they get coated with micro-organisms, which protect the plants from disease.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
            \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03.3\u00a0 Pineapple<\/strong><\/h5>
            • The fruit is much sweeter than pineapple grown with chemical fertilizer.<\/h5><\/li>
            • The pineapples are heavier.<\/h5><\/li>
            • When you look at the pineapples, there have more eyes (scales) around the fruit.<\/h5><\/li>
            • The pineapples look fresher and more attractive to eat.<\/h5><\/li>
            • The pineapples keep longer after harvest.<\/h5><\/li>
            • There are more suckers so that more pineapple plants can be planted and grown.<\/h5><\/li>
            • The problems with disease disappear. In the first season the farmers either halved the amount of sprays they used, or they stopped using them at once. But in the second crop they could stop spraying chemical sprays altogether with no disease arising.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
              \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03.4\u00a0 Sugarcane<\/strong><\/h5>
              There is a significant effect on the growth parameters:<\/h5>
              • The number of internodes per cane<\/h5><\/li>
              • The internodal length<\/h5><\/li>
              • The tops weight<\/h5><\/li>
              • The trash weight<\/h5><\/li>
              • The sucrose content<\/h5><\/li>
              • The yield components (number of millable canes, cane length, cane diameter, weight per stripped cane and stripped cane yield).<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
                In addition:<\/h5>
                • Some sugarcane factories mix Bio-Plant with the filter cake waste of sugarcane, and the farmers increase their productivity 5% \u2013 10% by using it to prepare the soil instead of urea.<\/h5><\/li>
                • Sugarcane farmers increase their yield significantly compared to when they used chemical fertilizers.<\/h5><\/li>
                • Most sugar factories in Vietnam only want to buy sugarcane from farmers who grow their sugarcane crops with Bio-Plant and Pro-Plant, principally because the sugar from the sugarcane is sweeter than chemical sugarcane \u2013 usually about 20% sweeter on analysis.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>
                  1. 3.5\u00a0 Timber Trees<\/strong><\/h5><\/li><\/ol>
                    • Because of the effectiveness of Bio-Plant and Pro-Plant in growing all kinds of trees, reforestation projects are being carried out in Vietnam using the bio-fertilisers. The photograph shows saplings being grown. The rate of growth is faster than with chemical fertilisers and the trees are healthier.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                        • Like all leafy vegetables cabbages grow very large when grown with the bio-fertilisers. The taste is sweeter than with chemical cabbages; the leaves are crispier; they contain more Vitamin C; and they keep longer after harvest.<\/h5><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
